Wallingford Chorus History
The Wallingford Chorus was founded in 1970 to celebrate the Town of Wallingford’s Tercentenary. Four decades later, the Chorus continues its mission to promote the appreciation and enjoyment of choral music in central Connecticut. The Chorus embraces members from Wallingford and surrounding towns who share a common love of music, with rehearsals weekly during the school year.
The Chorus presents two major concerts each year, one in winter and one in spring. The winter concert celebrates the holiday season, while the theme of the spring concert varies from year to year. The Chorus also performs at the Frosty Parade and special town events.
We are a community chorus open to all comers; no audition is necessary. Members range in age from young adults to senior citizens. We are from all walks of life – students, educators, medical personnel, lawyers, business persons, administrators, caregivers for children and retirees.
